Achieving food self-sufficiency has long been a key priority for the Government of Sharjah. The significant progress made in strengthening food security reflects the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, whose continued support has accelerated the Emirate's journey toward sustainable food production and self-reliance. By effectively utilising natural resources and developing sustainable agricultural and livestock production areas, Sharjah has also created valuable employment opportunities and supported economic growth.
